Five ways to find the encouragement, tools and support that fits you best.
Getting started with any new food program can feel like a lot, especially when there are several good options in front of you. That’s a good thing. It means you have choices, and you can begin Dear Food® in a way that actually fits your life. Whether you prefer to read, listen, learn step by step, or connect with others, there’s a place for you here. This guide will help you find a starting point that feels simple, doable, and right for you.
1. Start with Content
If you like to read, listen, and take things in at your own pace, there are a lot of options.
You might enjoy the Dear Food Newsletter if you like articles and steady, thoughtful input.
You might prefer The Dear Food Podcast if you want encouragement while you’re driving or working around the house.
We also offer encouragement on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube if you like shorter, visual content.
What this gives you:
- Biblical encouragement woven into everyday life
- Easy to access content you can return to anytime
- A starting point without needing to jump into community right away
2. A Clear, Structured Path
If you’re ready for guidance and want a plan you can actually follow, the Dear Food Workbook is a strong place to start.
You can go through it on your own, with a friend or in a group.

3. Find Belonging
If you want connection and a shared journey, the Dear Food Circle is where that happens.
This is an ongoing community where people are working through the same material, asking questions, and supporting each other.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Conversations, workshops, and teaching
- Coaching and encouragement
- Time zone buddy groups
- Opportunities to meet live, including “Meet Julia” rooms
It’s not like social media where everything happens at once. People come and go, leave posts, respond, and over time, real relationships form.
You can also start or join a Bible study inside the Circle!
Inside the Dear Food Circle, there’s a generous amount of free content to explore at your own pace. If you decide you want more structure and connection, there’s also a subscription option that opens the door to deeper community, course access, and weekly Bible studies with Julia and more. This is a great way to move from learning on your own into consistent support, friendship building and shared growth.
4. Get Focused, Personal Support
If you want more direct help, there are Group Coaching and One-on-One Coaching options.
Group coaching is a small, close-knit setting with weekly live sessions. The sessions are limited to 6 people for a 6 week time period.
One-on-one coaching with Julia is also available.
What this gives you:
- Real-time guidance
- Practical tools you can apply immediately
- A set time each week to get unconditional support no matter how your journey is going
- A focused environment to build your tools and gain momentum
To inquire about coaching options, head on over to the Dear Food Circle and feel free to message me for details.
5. Step Into Leadership
If you feel called to walk with others and go deeper, there’s a path for that too.
The Dear Food Leader Guide and the Leadership Training Course inside the Circle will walk you through how to lead a group.
What this gives you:
- A deeper understanding of the Dear Food framework
- Clear guidance on how to support others
- A way to practice what you’ve learned
- Continued growth as you lead
Final Encouragement
There are a lot of ways to step into Dear Food.
You don’t need to do all of them.
Just start with the one that fits how you learn, how you grow, and what you need right now.
Food freedom is waiting.
I hope this helps you get one step closer.
XO Julia
